A one minute silence will take place outside the civic centre at noon on Friday, to honour all those who tragically lost their lives in Tunisia.
Proceedings will begin at 11.55am with Rev. Andrew Wakefield, who will lead into the one minute silence. Saleem Sheikh MBE will conclude the event.
The doors of the civic centre will be closed from 11.55am. Members of the public will be redirected to the back of building during the event.
All are welcome. A book of condolence will also be available for the public to sign at the civic centre.
Leader of the council, Councillor Stephen Alambritis said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who lost their lives. What happened in Tunisia has shocked the world. It is important, now more than ever, that all our communities come together to support and promote peace.”
